Deadly Crash On 405 Freeway Prompts Lane Closures
Three northbound lanes of the 405 freeway were closed after the fatal crash.
WESTWOOD, CA — At least one person was killed Tuesday morning in a crash on the northbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Bel Air and three northbound lanes of the freeway were closed for an unknown duration.
The crash occurred about 4 a.m. near Bel Air Crest Road and involved at least two vehicles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Details of what led up to the crash were not immediately disclosed.

An investigation into the accident was underway, prompting the closure of the Nos. 4, 5 and 6 northbound lanes of the freeway just south of Bel Air Crest Road for an unknown amount of time, the CHP said.
