DUI Checkpoints Scheduled Around Westwood-Century City
Los Angeles police have DUI checkpoints and saturation patrols scheduled across the city for the weekend of March 29
LOS ANGELES, CA — Los Angeles police will be out in force over the weekend looking for inebriated drivers. The department will conduct numerous checkpoints and saturation patrols around the city.
Last year, the LAPD investigated 1,937 DUI related traffic collisions which have claimed 13 lives and seriously injured 59 people, according to the LAPD. Officers will also be looking out for drivers impaired by prescription drugs or marijuana. The police department publicizes its checkpoints in the campaign to raise awareness about the many risks of driving while intoxicated.
