Gelson's Sets Grand Reopening & Chef Curtis Stone Appearance

CENTURY CITY, CA – Gelson’s relaunch of its Century City store will be from Friday, Aug. 3 through Sunday, Aug. 5, as it introduces new amenities and customer conveniences, plus hosting special guests.

After a remodel, this Gelson’s store, at Westfield Century City, will offer a new sit-down wine, craft beer, tapas, and seafood-sushi bars; a station where customers can have meat or seafood grilled; and a Wolfgang Puck build-your-own pizza, salads and sandwiches station.

On Friday from 11:30 a.m to 4:30 p.m, award-winning chef, restaurateur and author Curtis Stone will hold cooking demos and meet-and-greets, as he promotes his new seasoned ground-beef products, a partnership with Thomas Farms Kitchen and available at Gelson’s.

Also planned at the reopening is live music daily from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 7 p.m.

“Meet the Brewery/Winemaker” events are scheduled, as well: from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Friday will be BJ’s Brewhouse; 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday will be Doug Margerum with Gelson’s Wines; and Golden Road Brewing from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Also offered at the Gelson’s Century City from Aug. 3-5 are such specials as 30 percent off all wine, beer and spirits (while supplies last, and some restrictions apply); free samples; and three hours of free parking with a minimum $5 purchase, and free valet parking with a minimum $25 purchase.

Gelson's in Century City is located at 10250 Santa Monica Blvd. in Los Angeles, and daily store hours are 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.
