Police In Riot Gear Break Up 500-Person UCLA Street Party

WESTWOOD, CA — A street party involving hundreds of people near UCLA came to an abrupt end overnight when police in riot gear broke up the gathering.
No one was arrested in the mass gathering, authorities said Friday. Police officers were called to the area of Le Conte and Levering avenues at about 11 p.m. Thursday, said Los Angeles police Officer Rosario Herrera. A police helicopter and a line of officers in riot gear arrived to disperse the crowd.
According to Fox11, the gathering was publicized via social media and drew more than 500 people.
