Residents Protest 'Megamansion'
Melrose residents are protesting the open house of a mansion they say is too big for the neighborhood and the environment.
A small group of residents of the Melrose District are picketing the open house for a new house for sale in their neighborhood, which they claim is a “megamansion” that is destroying the character of their area.
Residents complain the new houses “are too big, tower over the homes they are next to, bad for the environment, (and) are not energy efficient.” The protest is scheduled for 12:45-4 p.m. at one such house, 737 Vista St.
