Smell Gas, Century City? SoCa Gas Is Investigating

Authorities are investigating reports of a strong gas smell around Pico Boulevard and Overland Avenue.

LOS ANGELES, CA — Authorities Wednesday evening were investigating multiple reports of a gas odor in the Cheviot Hills area.

The reports began to come in around 9:10 p.m. and Southern California Gas crews responded to the intersection of Pico Boulevard and Overland Avenue to investigate, according to Melissa Bailey of Southern California Gas.

Southern California Gas crews, along with the Los Angeles Fire Department, were working to determine the source of the odor late Wednesday night, Bailey said.

"No source has been determined at this time," Bailey said around 11 p.m. "SoCalGas crews will continue to work to identify the source of the odor."
