Target Alcohol Sales, Westwood Park Turf Field on Community Council Agenda

The Westwood Community Council will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss local issues affecting Westwood, including alcohol sales at Target and a proposed artificial turf field at Westwood Park, among other items.

The meeting will be held at Belmont Village Westwood, 10475 Wilshire Blvd. Parking is free at Belmont Village, as well as at Westwood United Methodist Church, which is adjacent to the meeting location.

Here's a look at some of the items the WCC is scheduled to discuss Tuesday:

• A resolution on Target's request for a "public convenience and necessity" determination needed to sell alcohol at its Westwood store. 
• A request to use Quimby funds to construct an artificial turf soccer field at Westwood Park. 
• A Westside Regional Alliance of Councils resolution on digital billboards.
