UCLA Receives A $1 Million Grant For COVID-19 Response Efforts

The Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation has granted $1 million to the UCLA COVID-19 Rapid Response Initiative.

For months, coronavirus has been dominating news headlines, along with the efforts and stories of frontline workers. Among them are our nurses and doctors, working to save the sick and ensure that the Westwood community stays healthy and safe.

The Shurl and Kay Curci Foundation has granted $1 million to the UCLA COVID-19 Rapid Response Initiative, an initiative created to support thousands of healthcare workers who are diligently working to combat the devastating effects of novel coronavirus. This initiative will provide coronavirus testing and antibody testing to thousands of healthcare workers. This will also provide valuable data on infection rates and the prevalence of antibodies to the virus.

It is amazing to see how the local Westwood community and the UCLA Rapid Response initiative is working diligently to combat this virus. As a part of the Westwood community, with Westwood apartments near UCLA, we thank everyone who is working so hard during these difficult times.
