A man pushed a woman and began making sexual threats toward her, but bystanders intervened so she could get away, police said.
WESTWOOD, CA — UCLA police hope someone will recognize a sexual assault suspect caught on camera. The university police department Tuesday releases the footage of a man believed to have pushed a staffer while making sexually explicit threatening statements to her.
The incident happened on the morning of July 16 near Westwood Boulevard and Le Conte Avenue where the victim was walking along the sidewalk. A man approached her and began pushing her and making sexually explicit threats, according to UCLA police acting Capt. Kevin Kilgore.
Fortunately, multiple bystanders intervened to get him to stop. They yelled at him, and the woman was able to get away from her assailant. She was not injured, and she ran from the scene while the man was last seen walking southbound on Westwood Boulevard toward Weyburn Avenue, Kilgore said.
