UCLA, USC Basketball Players on Short List for Bob Cousy Award

LOS ANGELES, CA -- UCLA freshman Lonzo Ball and USC junior Jordan McLaughlin were among the 20-member watch list announced Monday for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year Award.
The watch list of 20 will be narrowed to 10 by mid-February and could include some players not on the initial watch list, according to John L. Doleva, president and CEO of the Basketball Hall of Fame.
The field will be reduced to five finalists in March. The award will be presented April 7 in Los Angeles at the ESPN College Basketball Awards Show. A national committee of top college basketball personnel determined the watch l ist of 20 candidates, Doleva said.
