1 Killed In 3-Car Crash On 605 Freeway In Norwalk

A car went from the slow lane across all lanes of traffic and crashed into the center divider and overturned, CHP said.

NORWALK, CA — One person was killed Wednesday morning in a crash on the southbound 605 Freeway in Norwalk. A car was overturned in the No. 1 lane of the freeway, prompting a stretch of the freeway to be shut down for an unknown amount of time.

The three-car crash was reported just south of Rosecrans Avenue about 3:45 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.

A vehicle went from the slow lane across all lanes of traffic and crashed into the center divider and overturned, facing the wrong way in the No. 1 lane of the freeway, the CHP said.

A SigAlert was issued for all lanes of the southbound San Gabriel River Freeway near Rosecrans Avenue about 4:05 a.m.

The age, gender and name of the victim were not disclosed.
