Bellflower Liquor Store Clerk Shot During Robbery Attempt

Sheriff's detectives today investigated the shooting of a liquor and grocery market clerk during a robbery attempt in nearby Bellflower, authorities said.

The shooting happened around 9:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 14300 block of Bellflower Boulevard, said Sgt. Joe Reveles of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Lakewood Station.

The clerk, a man, was taken to a hospital, but Reveles did not know his condition.

Two suspects were involved, but no descriptions were available this morning, he said.
