The city of Artesia has appropriated $50,000 to go toward home rehabilitation, and another $50,000 toward business rehabilitation.
Home owners are eligible to receive a home rehabilitation loan through the city to mitigate existing code violations, to improve its structural integrity, to fix any risks to neighborhood safety, and to improve its aesthetics, especially in a blighted area.
Commercial businesses are eligible to receive a loan from the city to improve its physical appearance, increase business, and to provide pleasant and exciting family-oriented shopping districts.
