Detectives Investigate Death At Emerald Villas Cerritos: Reports

CERRITOS, CA – Detectives were investigating a death in Cerritos Monday, authorities said. It was reported at 11 p.m. Sunday in the 19100 block of Pearl Court, said Lt. Brian Bishop of the Cerritos Sheriff's Station.

Firefighters responding to the scene requested a hazardous materials team, which came and cleared the site for homicide detectives, Bishop said.

A news videographer at the scene said the death was in the Emerald Villas, which was Cerritos' first affordable living senior housing community, according to the city's website.
