The Five Irish Tenors To Perform At Cerritos Center

This is the ensemble's first tour ever in North America. The event is Feb. 19, 3 pm. Tickets start at $50.

DIRECT FROM DUBLIN, IRELAND, THE FIVE IRISH TENORS presents PROGRAM II – POPS, a showcase of beloved Irish tunes and Pop songs by performers such as The Beatles and Billy Joel. In various combinations – tenor solos, duets, trios, quartets, and quintets – the show includes Hey Jude, The Piano Man, the Irish favorite Danny Boy, She Moves Through the Fair, Will You Go Lassie Go, W.B Yeats’ Down By the Sally Gardens, and Mozart’s Il Mio Tesoro.

This is the ensemble’s first tour ever in North America. Music director-pianist-arranger Conor Linehan has performed with all of Ireland’s major orchestras, including The Dublin Philharmonic Orchestra and the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland. He composes music for concert, theatre, dance and film, working with The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Abbey Theatre.

Pianist Cathal Synott’s credits include Riverdance, Sweeney Todd, Improbable Frequency, and Taming of the Shrew, Flatpack, and The Threepenny Opera. He has worked with the RTE/National Chamber Choir, Opera Ireland, and the cathedral choirs of Dublin. Synott is currently the singing and choral coach at The Lir Academy of Dramatic Art.
