Gas Prices Continue to Drop Heading into Thanksgiving Weekend

LOS ANGELES, CA -- The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Monday for the 14th consecutive day and 16th time in 17 days, decreasing a half-cent to $2.766.

The average price has dropped 13.5 cents over the past 17 days , including nine-tenths of a cent on Sunday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

The average price is 8.5 cents less than one week ago, 7.3 cents lower than one week ago and 6.5 cents below what it was one year ago.

The Orange County average price dropped for the 17th consecutive day, decreasing a half-cent to $2.748. It has dropped 14.2 cents over the past 17 days, including 1.1 cents on Sunday.

The Orange County average price is 8.6 cents less than one week ago, 7.3 cents lower than one week ago and 4.8 cents below what it was one year ago.
