From Cerritos Center for Performing Arts: Five-time Grammy winner Wynonna returns to the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts (CCPA) with The Big Noise band for a holiday show on Friday, December 9, 8:00 PM. In A WYNONNA & THE BIG NOISE CHRISTMAS, the songstress with the big vocals and her group perform holiday favorites and Wynonna’s biggest hits. The Wall Street Journal called the Big Noise “a versatile rock and twang-capable outfit.”
Along with husband and drummer-producer Cactus Moser, Wynonna and her ensemble have received critical acclaim for the debut Wynonna & the Big Noise album, which encompasses pure Country, electric Blues Rock, and contemporary Americana. The Los Angeles Times described the album as “stripped to the bone and rootsy, more contemporary Americana than the mainstream country with which she’s most closely associated.”

With a host of Gold and Platinum records and Top 10 hits, including To Be Loved by You, Only Love, Tell Me Why, and A Bad Goodbye, her songs and “stories are pure Country: simple, colored with heartache and full of inspiration,” said The Seattle Times.
Honored multiple times by the Country Music Association, Wynonna was also crowned top female vocalist by the Academy of Country Music. Her self-titled solo debut album was released in 1991, producing three consecutive No. One singles, including She Is His Only Need, I Saw the Light, and No One Else on Earth. Since then, Wynonna has rocked the music charts with more hits, including My Strongest Weakness, Rock Bottom, and Is It Over Yet? Although she is associated largely with the Country music genre, Wynonna landed on the dance music charts in 2005 with her version of I Want to Know What Love Is.
