Kaiser Permanente Downey Center Grants Support Youth and Elderly
Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center Gives $250,000 in Grants to Support Youth and Elderly Community Health Initiatives
Downey, Calif., May 24, 2018—Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center recently invested more than $250,000 in Community Health grants to five local non-profit organizations, demonstrating its strong commitment to the local community it serves
These grants help support the youth and the elderly of the community through organizations that provide access to health care services, promote community safety and violence prevention, and increase mental health care.
“Many of the most vulnerable residents in our surrounding communities—youth and the elderly—do not have access to health services, and these grants help organizations provide the services they need,” Jim Branchick, senior vice president and area manager, Kaiser Permanente Downey Medical Center said. “We are proud to help support these organizations as we all have one common goal—to improve health in the community.”
