Man Shot to Death in Bellflower Sunday Night

A man was shot to death on a Bellflower street, a sheriff's deputy said today.

The victim was found in the 16000 block of Woodruff Avenue at 10:50 p.m. Sunday, said Deputy Mark Pope of the Sheriff's Headquarters Bureau.

The man was transported to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, Pope said. His name was withheld pending notification of relatives. 

Sheriff's homicide detectives were at the scene this morning investigating the circumstances of the shooting.
