Motorcycle Rider Shot Near Cerritos

CERRITOS, CA — A motorcycle rider was shot early Monday in unincorporated Whittier, authorities said.

Police responded to a shots fired call on the 14000 block of Adger Drive just after midnight, Deputy Trina Schrader of the Sheriff's Information Bureau said.

Deputies searched the area for any suspects or victims and discovered the motorcyclist with at least one gunshot wound in the 10500 block of Victoria Avenue. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

No information was immediately available on the condition of the motorcyclist or on the shooter.
