'Neil Berg's 50 Years Of Rock And Roll' Coming To Cerritos

Berg will take the audience on a wild ride through the birth of rock and its eventual profound effect on musical history and its landscape.

CERRITOS, CA – Composer and producer Neil Berg will pay tribute to rock and roll in an exciting showcase at the Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, March 8 at 8 p.m. Berg will take the audience on a wild ride through the birth of rock and its eventual profound effect on musical history and its landscape in the performance, the press release said.

"In Neil Berg's 50 Years Of Rock And Roll, audiences are treated to little-known stories about
the rock and roll movement and rockin’ performances of classics such as Chuck Berry’s Johnny B. Goode; Little Richard’s Tutti Frutti; Elvis Presley’s Hound Dog; Simon and Garfunkel’s Bridge Over Troubled Water; and hits of The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Aerosmith, Bruce Springsteen, and many more," the press release said.

Berg is the composer and co-lyricist of the award-winning rock musical "The 12," written with Tony-winning playwright and Pulitzer Prize honoree Robert Schenkkan. Berg’s other shows include the hit off-Broadway musical "The Prince and the Pauper," the Broadway-bound musical "Grumpy Old Men," and "The Man Who Would Be King."
