OBIT: Eddie Manuel Garcia of Artesia

Eduardo “Eddie” Manuel Garcia Eduardo “Eddie” Manuel Garcia was born on Dec. 21, 1953 in Terceira, Açores. He passed away in Seal Beach on July 17, 2014 at the age of 60.

He was a great man with an even greater personality. His smile and laughter would brighten any room. He was always the life of the party.

Eddie owned a lawn care business for many years in Tulare. He loved to dance, fish, attend bullfights, play soccer and was known for his amazing cooking. He always had something to give you and a story to go with it. He had a heart of gold and any stranger became a friend. He will live forever in our memories and hearts.

He was preceded in death by his parents Maria and Henrique Garcia, two sisters, Maria Pires and Esmeralda Da Silva. He is survived by his children, Michelle Garcia (Philip Pinheiro), Debbie Davis, Eddie Garcia (Jennifer); his grandsons Justin, Jonathan, Joshua and Jayden Pinheiro, Drew Davis and Mason Garcia and granddaughter Julianne Garcia all of Tulare; brothers Carl Garcia (Beverly) of Artesia, Henry Garcia (Theresa) of Tulare; sisters Lidia Freitas (Leonardo) of Hanford, Oriana Bertão of Artesia, Silvana Ourique (Frank) of Hanford and Cidalia Rodriguez (Jessie) of Tulare, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Miller’s Tulare Funeral Home, 151 North “H” St., Tulare. Rosary and Mass will be held on Friday, Aug. 1 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 125 East Pleasant Ave., Tulare, with burial at North Tulare Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Miller’s Tulare Funeral Home.
