Rams To Wear Throwback Jerseys Sunday

LOS ANGELES, CA — The Los Angeles Rams will wear their royal blue and gold throwback jerseys Sunday when they face the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday in the first NFL regular-season game at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum since 1994.

The Rams began wearing the jerseys in 1973, then switched to a different shade of blue in 2000 when they were based in St. Louis.

"The players love them," coach Jeff Fisher said after today's practice at California Lutheran University. "They love the colors."

The Rams also announced they have signed defensive tackle Michael Brockers to a three-year contract extension.

The Rams drafted Brockers with the 14th overall overall selection in the 2012 NFL Draft. He was an All-Rookie selection by the Pro Football Writers of America and Pro Football Weekly in 2012 and had career-highs in tackles (74) and tackles for loss (12) in 2015.

"Retaining Michael was a priority for our organization," Fisher said. "Our defensive front has always been important to us, and Michael has been a significant part in what we do on that side of the football since we drafted him."

Brockers practiced in a limited role today after not practicing on Wednesday because of a thigh injury. Limited participation is defined as less than 100 percent of a player's normal repetitions.

Running back Todd Gurley had full participation in practice after being given the day off Wednesday.

Cornerback Lemarcus Joyner had limited participation because of a foot injury for the second consecutive day.
