South Asian Network in Artesia Hiring Community Advocate
The community-based organization in Artesia is looking to fill the full-time position.

Do you know a professional who speaks Bangla and is passionate about serving and empowering the Bangla-speaking community? If so, encourage them to apply for a position as a Community Advocate with the community organization, South Asian Network, in Artesia.
This full-time position requires an organized, efficient, self-starter with keen attention to detail to fill the position of community advocate for the Bangla-speaking community within its health and healthcare access, immigration and civic engagement and violence prevention programmatic areas.Â
Some of the responsibilities of the advocate include, but are not limited to:

- Provide case management, advocacy and support to survivors of violence and their children as well as community members seeking access to healthcare and naturalization services Â
- Coordinate outreach targeting the Bangladeshi community including acting as liaison with faith-based and community leaders
- Coordinate monthly therapy sessions for monolingual Bangla speaking clients and collaborate with the Bangla-speaking therapist
- Work with other program staff in managing SAN’s clients and calls at the office and counseling sessions
- Work with SAN staff in planning and conducting activities including workshops and outreach in religious and community places
