CA Radio Personality Moriss Taylor Dies At 93
The man behind the longest-running locally-produced radio show has died.

CHICO, CA -- Moriss Taylor, the beloved radio host who appeared on air for decades in Chico, died recently. He was 93.
KNVN in Chico reported Taylor" died peacefully, surrounded by friends and family" on Jan. 9
Taylor produced a show named after his self beginning in 1956, which ran on several stations before it ended in 1997. Known for his charming and comedic nature, he and his band played country music, winning over the hearts of many Northern California residents.

The show was named the longest-running locally-produced television show in U.S. history and stations aired reruns for years.
Born in Oklahoma, Taylor served in the U.S. Army before starting his radio career in 1940.

Taylor is survived by his six children, KNVN reported.
