Robbery Arrest By Chico Police Department

On 6/6/21 at 11:36 pm, Chico Police officers responded to Wildwood Park (100 Wildwood Avenue) on a report of a robbery that had just occurred. The reporting party advised that an unknown subject just robbed his friend in the parking lot of Wildwood Park. The reporting party indicated that the suspect took property from the victim and threatened the victim with a handgun. The victim fearing for his safety, immediately gave the suspect his property and fled the area on foot.

Officer arrived within moments and located 26-year-old Miguel Rodriguez matching the robbery suspect’s description. Rodriguez was detained and found to have items stolen from the victim. Officer canvassed the area but was unable to locate a firearm. Rodriguez was arrested for robbery, vandalism, and assault, and battery. Rodriguez was transported to the Butte County Jail, where he was booked on the indicated charges.
