Allstate agents earn $10,000 for Chico domestic violence services
The Allstate Foundation grant to support nonprofit's work providing support to survivors of domestic violence
Twelve Allstate agents, personal financial representatives and licensed sales professionals from the Chico area recently came together to secure a $10,000 Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® Grant to benefit Catalyst Domestic Violence Services. The grant will support Catalyst Domestic Violence Services’ mission to provide crisis intervention services for survivors of domestic violence and their children in Butte County.
The Allstate volunteers earned the grant for Catalyst Domestic Violence Services by hosting a donation drive to collect much needed kitchen items and toys for the organization’s shelter. Catalyst Domestic Violence Services will use the $10,000 grant to further its work.
The participants are among thousands of agency owners, personal financial representatives and licensed sales professionals around the country working to improve communities by volunteering for the causes they care about most.

“As Allstate volunteers, we see firsthand the opportunities and challenges facing the communities we serve,” said Sonia Aery, Allstate agency owner. “Giving back is core to who we are, which is why we’re proud to volunteer and raise funds to improve lives of domestic violence survivors and their families across Chico and Butte County.”
In addition to hosting the donation drive efforts, Aery is on the Board of Directors for Catalyst Domestic Violence Services and through The Allstate Foundation Helping Hands® Grant program has helped to raise $21,000 for the organization over the last two years.
