Business News: 'Icing on the Cupcake' Comes to Citrus Heights, More

In a wrap-up of businesses coming to Citrus Heights, Icing on the Cupcake announces its intentions to open its newest location on Sunrise Boulevard, McDonald's at the corner of Sunrise Blv. and Old Auburn Road prepares for a major renovation, Cattle Rustlers Steakhouse has opened in the former Cool Hand Luke's location and that's just the beginning. The business news round-up comes by way of the Citrus Heights Community and Economic Development Department.

Pacific Cost Co: The specialty grocery store offers a variety of Russian, European and Middle-Eastern products, has opened at 7263 Greenback Lane, the former Big Lots store.

Jolly Burger: The 7150 Auburn Boulevard location has reopened under new management.

Icing on the Cupcake: The popular bakery has submitted its plans to open a new location at 5867 Sunrise Boulevard, the same retail center as Chipotle, Panda Express and Pinkberry. Icing on the Cupcake has two locations in Rocklin, one in Sacramento and Folsom.

I Bleed Chocolate: This new store offers an array of chocolate goodies, according to the City of Citrus Heights. The new business is located at 6970 Sunrise Boulevard in the Cooperwood Square Shopping Center.

McDonald's: The fast food restaurant at 7632 Sunrise Boulevard has received approval to remove its existing building and rebuild a new 5,044 square-foot restaurant with drive-through services. Construction is expected to start sometime in 2013.

Dress Barn: The 40-year-old discount retailer is coming to Citrus Town Center in the former Linen Outlet location at 7953 Greenback Lane.

Cattle Rustlers Steakhouse: The new restaurant has opened in the former Cool Hand Luke's location at 7040 Sunrise Boulevard.

Brake Masters: The auto maintenance shop has received approval to construct a new commercial building at 8000 Greenback Lane, adjacent to Red Robin and the Sunrise Mall. The project is expected to start construction in early 2013.
