Citrus Heights City Clerk Calls For Ballot Arguments For The 2020 Transactions (Sales) And Use Tax Ballot Measure
Rebuttal Arguments for or against ballot measures shall not exceed 250 words.

On November 3, 2020, the City of Citrus Heights will hold a Consolidated General Municipal Election with the Statewide Presidential General Election at which voters will consider a ballot measure relating to a one-cent Transactions (Sales) and Use Tax Measure.

Beginning today, persons interested in writing arguments for or against the measure may obtain the Forms and Instructions for Submitting Arguments and Rebuttal Arguments from the City Clerk. The forms are also available online at https://www.citrusheights.net/1068/Transactions-Sales-and-Use-Tax-Measure.
Primary Arguments
Primary Arguments for or against ballot measures shall not exceed 300 words. The filing period for arguments for or against the measure is July 24, 2020 to August 6, 2020 5:00 p.m. The 10-day public review period for Primary Arguments is August 7, 2020 to August 16, 2020. During the 10-day public review period, any voter of the City of Citrus Heights may seek a writ of mandate or an injunction requiring any or all of the material in the argument for or against to be amended or deleted.

Rebuttal Arguments
Rebuttal Arguments for or against ballot measures shall not exceed 250 words. The filing period for rebuttal arguments is August 7, 2020 to August 17, 2020 5:00 p.m. The 10-day public review period for Rebuttal Arguments is August 18, 2020 to August 27, 2020. During the 10-day public review period, any voter of the City of Citrus Heights may seek a writ of mandate or an injunction requiring any or all of the material in the rebuttal argument for or against to be amended or deleted.
