Citrus Heights Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Child Molestation

Ryan Matthew Haley of Citrus Heights and Rancho Cordova was sentenced for molesting several little boys who were once his neighbors.

A Citrus Heights man will serve life in prison for child molestation and other charges. 

On July 24, Ryan Haley was convicted of 20 counts of lewd and lascivious acts against a minor under 14 years of age, according to the Sacramento County District Attorney's Office. Haley also pled no contest to possessing child pornography and was sentenced to an additional consecutive term of 2 years in prison.

"Haley molested the victims at his Citrus Heights home from 1999 through 2005," according to the DA's Office. "Many of the victims were friends of Haley’s youngest brother and lived in the neighborhood. Haley lured them into his bedroom with the promise of playing video games. 

The DA's Office reports that three victims testified in the trial. After the sentencing, one of the victim's said, “I didn’t come forward for myself, but rather for the other boys who he hurt all those years,” according to the DA's Office.  

Prior to his arrest, his most recent address was in Rancho Cordova was on Italia Way, according to the Sacramento Bee
