Citrus Heights Man Wanted In Mission Viejo

Breaking: A search for the man caused schools to go on lockdown Wednesday.

MISSION VIEJO, CA — A Citrus Heights man, suspected in a stolen vehicle case from 2013, caused a number of schools in Mission Viejo to go on lockdown Wednesday, as deputies believed him to be in the area.

Orange County Sheriff's Department assisted Sacramento County Sheriff's deputies in the search for Zechariah Austin Lee, a 31-year-old last known resident of Citrus Heights who was thought to be in or around a Mission Viejo Intermediate school. The search for Lee triggered lockdowns at four Saddleback Unified School District schools.

Patch reported on Lee's 2013 Citrus Heights arrest. In that case, there was also a school lockdown and a search in the Sacramento area regarding a car theft and associated crimes.
