Columbus Day: What's Open, Closed in Citrus Heights
Prepare for the holiday knowing what services won't be available Monday, Oct. 8.

For most of us, life goes on normally on Columbus Day, but some government services will be closed Monday, Oct. 8. Here is a breakdown of services that will or will not be available:
Citrus Heights City Hall will be open and have regular hours.Â
All U.S. Postal Service locations will be closed.

All Sacramento County Public Library locations, including Citrus Heights libraries, will be closed.
Sacramento County offices will be closed.Â

Emergency services, such as police and fire, will be available.
Garbage pickup services will not be affected.Â
Retail stores, grocery stores, restaurants and other businesses may have limited hours Monday. Call ahead before heading to a specific business to confirm they are open.
