That plan will build on efforts the City has made in recent years to improve walkability, bikeability, and transit access for all residents, according to the report.
"The overarching goal of the plan is to create accessible, efficient, and convenient methods for pedestrians, transit users, and bicyclists to travel to the places where they live, work, and play," the report states.

The $200,000 grant would require the city to match funds of 10 percent, resulting in up to $20,000 in committed funds toward the project. The required 10 percent match would be met through staff time, according to the report; the required staff time beyond the 10 percent match is eligible for reimbursement under the grant.
The grant application is due on April 2.
Citrus Heights, how could City Council members put this plan to use immediately? How would you like to see the plan put to use? Sound off in the comments.
