Sheriff's Department Searches for Clues in Home Depot Heist

Sheriff's officials are looking for the identity of a man suspected of the March 1 armed robbery at a Citrus Heights Home Depot.

Sacramento County Sheriff's authorities are calling on public assistance in the apprehension of a man who is believed to be responsible for robbing a Citrus Heights Home Depot at gunpoint 10 days ago.

The incident occurred on March 1 at approximately 7:20 p.m., according to a Sheriff's Department press release. According to Sheriff's officials, the suspect entered the 5859 Antelope Road.

Sheriff's officials say the man selected merchandise and attempted to leave without paying. When confronted by loss prevention employees, the suspect brandished a black, semi-automatic handgun at them before fleeing from the business in a vehicle, according to the press release.

Sherrif's investigators are looking for a white male adult in his twenties, approximately 6’1” tall with a medium build. He wore a black baseball cap, black T-shirt and jeans during the robbery.

Sheriff's officials are urging the community to assist in determining the identity of the suspect by contacting the Sheriff’s Robbery Bureau at 916-874-5115.
