'Three Dog Night' Meets 'America' at Sunrise Mall Saturday

Popular rock bands to perform at Sunrise MarketPlace Outdoor Pavilion for Citrus Heights' Sunrise at Night Concert Series.

"Three Dog Night," a California-based rock band best known for its hits during the late 1960s and early `70s, is making its way to Citrus Heights this weekend, along with the Grammy-winning group "America."

With the end of the Sacramento Capitals tennis season, the rock bands will be performing at the Sunrise MarketPlace Outdoor Pavilion, located at Sunrise Mall. It's a 2,500-seat pavilion, with plenty of leg room and a range of seating choices and free parking.

With music starting at 8 p.m. and doors opening at 6:30 p.m., ticket prices range from $32.50 and $67.50. The concert is part of the Sunrise MarketPlace's Sunrise at Night Concert Series.

Three more concerts are set for September including kid-friendly "Doodlebops" and "Caillou" Sept. 1, "Kool and the Gang" and "The Commodores" Sept. 8 and "Blondie" and "Devo" Sept 14.
