Warrant Issued in Citrus Heights Homicide

Citrus Heights Police detectives served a warrant in the 7700 block of Wintergreen Drive related to the homicide that occurred on Stonehand Ave on Jan. 5.

Citrus Heights Police Department officials say they have a suspect in a Jan. 5 homicide that left one dead from multiple stab wounds, now they just need to find him.

An arrest warrant has been issued for Andrew Lee Johnson, 29, in conjunction with the January homicide in the 6300 block of Stonehand Avenue, according to police.

The announcement comes weeks after an incident where police arrived at the Stonehand Ave. home to find the victim -- identified by the Sacramento County Coroner's office as Jack Swaim, 52 -- stabbed multiple times right outside his front door. Deputies arrived to find Swaim unconcsious. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where he would be pronounced dead sometime later.

Investigators are still looking into what led to Swaim's death and why. Citrus Heights Police officials are asking that anyone with information in the case come forward and call 916-727-5500.
