Man Dies In 210 Rollover Crash

CLAREMONT, CA — A man died overnight in the Claremont area after a dramatic rollover crash on the 210 freeway, California Highway Patrol reported.

Emergency vehicles responded to the scene on the Foothill Freeway just west of Baseline Road at approximately 1:30 a.m. Monday morning.

Witnesses say the Hyundai driver was behaving recklessly before the crash, and officials learned the vehicle was reported stolen.

"A 2015 Hyundai Azera flipped onto the right shoulder, coming to rest on its roof," CHP reported. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, and his identity was withheld pending notification of his relatives.

The westbound 210 Freeway was shut down during the investigation.
