City Of Claremont: Bee Hive/Swarm Precaution

Community Improvement staff responds to concerns regarding bee swarm/hives on private property.

07/06/2021

Community Improvement staff responds to concerns regarding bee swarm/hives on private property. Residents are reminded that the city code requires that any wild swarm of bees or infestation of bees or other vectors on a property MUST be cleaned or removed immediately. Any infested building, structure or premises, creates a public nuisance and potential public safety hazard. In addition, an infestation of a hive/nest can cause damage to a roof, wall or eave. It is recommended that a licensed pest control or bee removal/relocation professional be contacted. You can contact the Community Improvement Division at (909) 399-5467 to report an active beehive on private property.
