It is prohibited for anyone to move, remove, or scavenge any contents of a residential trash receptacle, including recyclables. The ordinance ensures public safety on City streets, prevents the creation of trash accumulation outside containers, and deters potential criminal activity, such as identity theft. If you see anyone scavenging trash or recyclables from containers, please report it to the Claremont Police Department at (909) 399-5411.
