Cops Locate Stolen Truck, Two Arrested In Claremont
Claremont Police identified a stolen white 2019 Ford F150 along with a plethora of counterfeit cash, syringes, drugs and a loaded gun.
CLAREMONT, CA —Claremont Police made a discovery this week that yielded both a stolen vehicle as well as stacks of counterfeit cash. Monday night, officers saw a 2019 Ford F150 parked near the Knights Inn on the 700 block of Indian Hill Boulevard, according to Lt. Karlan Bennett.
"The vehicle was reported stolen through San Bernardino Police Department," Bennett said. Inside, a man was behind the wheel, with a woman in the passenger seat.
Officers detained the pair and discovered they had methamphetamine, syringes, and counterfeit $100 bills.

During a subsequent search of the vehicle, a loaded .45 caliber handgun was located under the driver's seat.
Numerous stolen credit cards were found in the vehicle, along with credit cards that had
been altered with the driver's and passenger's names embossed on them. A credit card
embosser was found in the back seat of the vehicle. Both subjects were placed under
arrest.

Andres Alvaro Lara, 35 years old, resident of Rialto, was booked at Claremont Police Department (CPD) Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of a loaded handgun, felon in possession of a firearm, and possession of personal identifying information for identity theft.
His passenger, Carolina Oyarzabal, 37 years old, Rialto resident was booked at CPD Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of counterfeit bills, and possession of personal identifying information for identity theft.
Lara is being held in lieu of $50,000 and Oyarzabal on $25,000 bail.
Both suspects were scheduled to appear at Pomona Superior Court on Wednesday.
