Healthy Lifestyle Workshop Aimed At L.A. County's Older Adults
The virtual workshop will be held in July and hosted by the county's CalFresh Healthy Living Program.
CLAREMONT, CA — Older adults around the county will have the chance to learn about eating healthy and remaining active in their age thanks to a virtual workshop hosted by Los Angeles County’s CalFresh Healthy Living Program.
County residents 55 and older will hear about different ways they can boost their immune systems as well as learn about new food ideas through cooking demonstrations and easy-to-follow recipes, according to a statement from the workshop’s organizers. The four-part series will also go over simple exercises that can be done at home using only a chair.
The one-hour workshop will be held once a week starting July 6 and conclude July 27. Participants can join either by phone or through Zoom, according to the organizers.
