Meet Claremont Police’s Newest Four-Legged Officer
The bloodhound will be used by the Claremont Police Department to search for missing persons and suspects.

CLAREMONT, CA — The Claremont Police Department added to its ranks Tuesday when it welcomed the newest member of its K-9 unit — Drew, the bloodhound.
The 11-month-old dog has been trained in “human scent detection” and will be used by the department to search for suspects and missing persons, according to a statement from Claremont police. Drew was born in Tennessee and train in Florida.
He recently went through a two-week training program with his handler, Officer Matt Morales, the department said. Drew’s time with the department will be documented on Instagram.
