Wildland Fire Exercises To Impact Traffic Near Higginbotham Park
The Los Angeles County Fire Department will conduct exercises in Higginbotham Park, Sycamore Canyon and Thompson Creek Trail.

CLAREMONT, CA — Portions of Higginbotham Park, Sycamore Canyon and Thompson Creek Trail will be closed Tuesday through Thursday as the Los Angeles County Fire Department conducts training exercises in the area.
The exercise will include perimeter control, constructing a fire line and command functions, according to a statement from Claremont officials. Around 10 to 15 fire vehicles and other equipment will be on site during the training from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Traffic and parking will be impacted along Mt. Carmel Drive during these times and no parking signs will be placed near the front of Higginbotham Park.
