Outage Cut Power to Thousands in Concord

Thousands of homes and businesses lostΒ power in Concord, California Friday morning.Β 

A Pacific Gas & ElectricΒ spokesperson said a tree fell on a power line at 2597 E. Olivera Road, which truncated power toΒ 2,686 people.

The outage began at 9:21 a.m. and ended at 10:43 a.m., according toΒ PG&E.Β About 13 percent PG&E's power outages are caused by trees. 90 percent of those trees are healthy trees. When emergency workΒ is required, the property owner is asked to pay for the cleanup costs. Β
