Bargain Bride and Groom Host One Final Garage Sale To Fund Wedding

A Concord couple who have been holding garage sales to help pay for a small beach wedding in Monterey this October are putting all the bargains on the table for one final event this weekend.

Jenna Mahina, the bride-to-be, says the sixth and final fundraiser is more of "a multi-family moving sale" because of all the donations the couple have received from family and friends, along with the overflow that has come with combining the couples' two households.

The sale takes place Saturday, July 27 and Sunday, July 28 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Los Flores Avenue in Concord. Visit the event page on Facebook for more information and photos.

Many of the items for sale will be $1 or less, according to Mahina. Goods include clothing, toys, household items, tools, books, magazines and more.

Mahina and her fiancé have also put together a raffle as part of a goal to start their marriage debt-free, so they "can focus on the important stuff — love!" Tickets can be purchased online here for $20 each. Prizes include a diamond ring, a life coaching package and a four-course meal prepared in-home by the bride-to-be herself.
