CONCORD, CA — Registration is open for Dan Ashley’s Friends of Camp Concord Golf Tournament, set for Oct. 3 at the Round Hill Country Club in Alamo. Proceeds from the event will send 300 underserved kids to Camp Concord at Lake Tahoe.
The day includes a shotgun start at 10:30 a.m. with on-course contest holes, and numerous food and beverage stations from prestigious East Bay restaurants such as Slow Hand BBQ and Fuddruckers. The silent auction and wine tasting begins at 4:30 p.m., Dan Ashley’s band PUSH performs at 5 p.m., followed by dinner, awards and a live auction.
ABC7 news anchor Dan Ashley has championed the event for many years, noting the positive effect that learning new skills and experiencing the outdoors in a camp setting at Lake Tahoe has on youngsters who may have never traveled outside of their city.
