CoCo Pursuit Ends With Armed Suspect's Arrest: Video
The Friday afternoon pursuit began in Antioch, police said.
EAST BAY, CA — A pursuit last week that started in Contra Costa County ended with the arrest of an armed suspect in Berkeley, police said.
Berkeley officers were notified around 3:15 p.m. Friday of a pursuit suspect entering the city from Highway 13 in a chase that began with the suspect fleeing the scene of a felony crime in Antioch, police said.
A Contra Costa County Sheriff's Office helicopter gave chase as the suspect was believed to be headed toward a Berkeley address, according to police.

When the suspect parked his car south of the UC Berkeley campus, several officers responded, police said.
Bike Force officers quickly spotted the suspect and chased him down when he tried to run away, eventually taking him to the ground and restraining him in handcuffs at Dwight Way, police said.

The Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office posted video footage of the pursuit on YouTube. What appeared to be a gun was seen falling from the suspect’s fanny pack as he was brought to the ground by officers, the video showed.
The suspect, only identified by police as a 23-year-old Berkeley man, was arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest and carrying a loaded firearm with a large capacity magazine.
