CONCORD, CA – As kids anticipate Halloween, costumes and trick-or-treating, it's important to ensure they're safe and secure on the night of spooky thrills. Checking to see how safe are your Concord neighborhoods is one way to start.
The California Department of Justice has a Megan's Law web site, which provides information on registered sex offenders pursuant to California Penal Code § 290.46, so that the public can better protect themselves and their families.
According to the website, there are 122 registered sex offenders in Concord, 18 of whom are currently in violation. Forty of the 122 do not have current addresses, with 13 listed as transients and one incarcerated.
