Concord Tree Lighting Rescheduled, Now Set For Sunday

The event will include a visit from Santa Claus, performances and carriage rides around downtown.

CONCORD, CA — Concord's holiday tree lighting and visit from Santa Claus will take place Sunday after being rescheduled from last weekend when wet weather caused city officials to postpone the event.

The event, previously scheduled for Dec. 7, will begin at Todos Santos Plaza on Sunday at 4 p.m. with the arrival of Santa, who will be available until 6 p.m. to hear wishes from children.

There will also be carriage rides around downtown starting at 4 p.m. and various groups will perform between 4:45-6 p.m.

The event will finish with a mayor's sing-along at 6:15 p.m. and the tree lighting at 6:30 p.m., according to organizers.
