Contra Costa County Coroner Identifies Concord Homicide Victim
The 45-year-old man suffered multiple gunshot wounds; he was treated at the scene then rushed to a hospital but did not survive.
CONCORD, CA — A 45-year-old man shot to death near an elementary school Wednesday afternoon in Concord has been identified as Harold Reed III, according to the Contra Costa County coroner's office.
Police went to the 1800 block of Robin Lane, near Cambridge Elementary school, a little before 5 p.m.
Investigators say Reed was driving his vehicle when he suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body. This came after an argument with the shooter, who opened fire from the sidewalk.
